Begin with three checks.
- The main page: confirm the website returns the expected HTTP result.
- A critical content signal: check that an important phrase remains present, or that an unwanted error phrase is absent.
- The contact journey: if the rendered form is compatible, verify its configured confirmation after an approved synthetic submission.
Verify control of the hostname first. FlowUptime does not need a monitoring plugin or a script added to the WordPress theme.
Know what happens after an update.
A plugin or theme change may leave the homepage available while changing field names, removing content or breaking a form confirmation. Review your monitor results after you make a change and retest the real visitor journey.
Monitoring does not update plugins, repair the website, scan for malware or provide a backup. It gives you evidence to help notice and investigate the checks you configured.
Form compatibility is specific to the website.
No blanket compatibility is claimed for Contact Form 7, WPForms, Elementor or another form builder. The HTML, submission behaviour, validation and anti-abuse controls on your installation determine whether a form is a suitable candidate.
Use our compatibility checklist before enabling live submissions. Keep CAPTCHA and other visitor protections in place; use availability and content checks where form testing is unsuitable.
